Carriers and actors of the project

The creators of INaturalist are the California Academy of Sciences and the National Geographic Society. However, we can find other actors to this application.
Many celebrities or influential people advertise it. These "ambassadors" are for example: Danielle Doyle (American actress) or Carlos G. Velozco Macias (Mexican biologist).
However, we should not forget those who create and shape this application every day a little more: the users. Indeed, in their own way, they are also actors of INaturalist because they are the ones who, through their sharing and reporting, provide data to researchers.

The research question

After several researches and analyzes of the subject "Reduce the impact of inasive alien species on land and water ecosystems". I came to the conclusion that the problematic of this assignment must have a link with biodiversity. Each of the digital projects, I found and presented in the "Projects" page, have one thing in common: they need users to live.

Why did I choose INaturalist ?

Most of the projects that I was able to analyze were similar. However, two of them seemed to be more advanced in their approach. They use as many technologies as possible to make the user experience as smooth as possible: AGIIR and INaturalist. My choice was finally made towards INaturalist because I think it is one of the most popular applications in the field of biodiversity. In addition, the AI is already present in its organization and its functionalities.

User scenario

INaturalist users can be anyone. There is no age limit, the application is designed to be understood even by the youngest. It can also be used everywhere outdoors (garden, forest, beach, mountain ...)
